This series on AstroCompatibility will cover all of the potential matchups in the Zodiac. We will continue this series thinking about and commenting on Gemini and Libra.
Libra is an Air s ign and a Cardinal, action-oriented one. Gemini is an Air sign and Mutable. Libra loves reason and balance and the diplomatic side step. With the alacrity of a lawyer, they can approach their interests at many levels. Like the Virgo, they have much turbulence going on inside them, yet they are trying to bring cures to outer situations. Gemini is always on its mercurial path. Libra can be vexed by Gemini. They can’t believe that people really need to go that fast! What for? Mistakes can be made for heaven’s sake. Gemini can shake its head in humorous wonder, watching Libra go through its required consternation. Libra wants action; they just need to figure out where.
Libra can observe the fast-moving Twin and be very happy to go along with the program. As long as it is seeking more excitement, this could be great. Gemini’s head could be turned by the beauty of The Scales and be “twitter pated” by its elegance and artistic loving techniques. These air signs might both need or want an earth partner, or a fire partner. But air and air could be OK, especially if they really did have the same kinds of values and sensibilities. What they should watch for is over intellectualizing and planning and forgetting some earth-bound obligations.
Positive Postulate:
Gemini and Libra would need to be on the same page. Everybody does, you say, but this pair would be in constant struggle, if not. Positively speaking, this could make a handsome duo. Libra’s harmonic sweetness and Gemini’s variety-filled personal demonstrations could make them good company for each other; and pleasant companions in both night clubs and church picnics. Libra pacing itself, like it does, could also pace the Gemini. Not jumping and turning at every opportunity could be beneficial for the sometimes unstable Gemini.
Romance Recommendation:
Gemini and Libra can be fun romantic partners. Neither burns with explosive intensity, but both like the electric romantic quotient to be playful and joyous. Gemini, liking variety, could encourage Libra to go to different restaurants, not just the most beautiful and expensive ones. Libra could add touches of class to whatever they would do, and where ever they would go.
Conflict Quotient:
Conflict Resolution is something that Libra might formally go in for. Gemini might find this appalling. Libra would want a balanced conflict. Gemini would propose that “conflicts can’t be balanced!” Gemini always has a slight smile, even when angry. Feeling that the world is really just so many words, they could bring an irreverence that Libra would find very difficult to tolerate. Libra is earnest about being earnest. Gemini thinks earnestness is taking yourself too seriously.
Peace Parlay:
Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: "Can we be bored together over the long term?" Libra can be bored easily . Their cardinality begs for action. It is the rare Gemini who lets things get boring. Their life is dedicated to the opposite.
Keep Up The Interest Graph:
Gemini will go out of its way, buy a Breyers instead of the low cost ice cream, just to bring a little variety. Under the category of keeping up the interest, Libra would get flowers at funny times, and get plane tickets it was not expecting. Libra needs to be amenable to happy change.
Seven Year Itchiness:
There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns as time goes on. Others are not. The 7 year itch can trip up any union. Libra, in love with its quest for perfectibility and the smooth and beautiful would not like to see itself making a faithless move. But, in their active and imaginative minds, they could want more. Gemini might not be so held back by an idealism. Gemini has to learn its restraint through education and morality. It might find the 7th year a more acceptable time than ordinary. Each tending to the “airy other” would be recommended.
ASTROCOMPATIBILITY POSSIBILITY RATING: 70% Positive Long Term - 70% Short Term . Fun and twinkling charm could draw these two together. Libra’s patience with Gemini would probably be the element that adds duration. If Gemini wants to shape itself to Libran plans and schemes, the union could mature and develop. Libra should be careful not to be too ponderous and burdened with constant agenda setting. Gemini’s nerves can be worn out.
